HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The Rust College women's basketball program successfully defended its 2020-21 regular season crown Monday evening, stomping Dillard to put a bow on a perfect 12-0 home record.
Jade Lewis topped the offensive charts on the day, posting 16 points on 6-of-10 (60%) and 4-for-7 (57.1%) from distance including four assists, two blocks and two boards.
Katie Blackmon collected yet another double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds on a balmy 83.3% field-goal percentage (5-for-6).
Shay Johnson logged seven assists and eight points plus three boards on 4-of-5 (80%) shooting.
Niya McGuire had a balanced afternoon, corralling seven rebounds and eight points over only 12 minutes.
