Katie Blackmon Dominates Her Way To Third GCAC Weekly Award Of 2021-22

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Junior center Katie Blackmon has been bullying the opposition all year long and has now laid claim to her third GCAC Player of the Week accolade of the season.

Blackmon, a Olive Branch, Mississippi native, wreaked havoc on the Fisk Bulldogs to the tune of 18 points and 15 rebounds for her fifth double-double in 18 appearances.

Over 28 minutes on the court, she shot 66.7% (6-of-9) from the floor and 6-for-8 at the charity stripe with only one turnover committed plus a vicious block on the poor shot taker.

Blackmon and the Lady Bearcats will look to move to 4-0 in the 2022 calendar year on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Jackson, Mississippi.
