Rust College’s Patsy Johnson Named to Women's Basketball All-HBCUAC Preseason First Team

Johnson, a returning leader for the Bearcats, earned the preseason honor following an impressive 2024–25 campaign in which she ranked among the conference's top performers. Last season, Johnson finished top five in scoring and top 10 in three-point shooting percentage, solidifying her reputation as one of the most dynamic offensive threats in the league.

Her consistency, competitive spirit, and leadership have made her a cornerstone of the Rust College program as the Bearcats prepare for another season in the HBCUAC.

"Patsy has put in the work day after day, and it's paying off," said Head Coach Jaleesa Sams. "She's grown not only as a player but as a leader for our team. This recognition is well-deserved, and we're excited to see her continue to set the tone for our program this season."

Johnson and the Bearcats will open their 2025 season with high expectations as they look to continue building upon their recent success in conference play.
