Damien Brigham Named Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Rust College

A graduate of Jackson State University, Brigham began his coaching career at Paul Quinn College before moving on to positions at McNeese State, Coastal Carolina, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and Alabama A&M. Throughout his career, he has coached numerous All-Americans, including NCAA D2 Indoor Champion Dominic Smith, Joshua Bunton of Lane College (the school's first All-American), USATF World Championships qualifier Jasmine Webb, USATF Junior Championship qualifier Kartavius Hamilton, and All-American Rinsldo Moore, who earned a fourth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. Additionally, Triston Joynes represented Bermuda in the 2012 Carifta Championships in the 110-meter hurdles.

"I want to thank AD Jeremy Patterson for trusting me to lead the track and field and cross country programs in the right direction," said Brigham. "I'm very excited to be at Rust College and look forward to what the future has in store for our teams."
