Softball Weekend Doubleheader Cancelled, Replaced With Scrimmage

The Rust College softball program was set to host its inaugural High School / Prospects Day on Saturday versus LeMoyne-Owen, but the doubleheader has been cancelled and the event will still take place with an intrasquad scrimmage instead.

In a message to those who were planning on coming to the doubleheader as well as prospective student-athletes, Head Coach Kendrick Vivians had this to say:

"We are still welcoming everyone to come on a visit. If we have enough participation, we will even host a scrimmage! We are asking that you confirm by 8pm tonight (4/6/23). The team is set to host its next games at the Marshall Academy Softball Field on Tuesday, April 11 versus Crowley's Ridge with first pitch set for 2 and 4 p.m. central time.
