Bearcats Lose Tight Battle At Blue Mountain

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – The Rust College men's basketball program shot better than 50% from the floor for the second straight night but could not rally to erase a late deficit in a 68-64 loss to the Toppers.

Dwayne Walker led all Bearcats with 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting (54.5%) with a trio of three-pointers plus a pair of steals.

Davonte Craven and Jeremiah Maldonado each surpassed the double-digit point plateau with 12 and 11, respectively.

Keshon Tabb did his usual thing as a jack-of-all-trades as he led all game participants with five assists, grabbed five rebounds, swiped a team-best five steals and dropped ten points on BMC.

Catthadious Moore was the contest's top rebounder at seven boards, contributing a block as well.

The men from Holly Springs will have ten days of rest before they host the (RV) Stillman Tigers on day one of the Dr. Ishmell Edwards Founder's Day Classic at 7 p.m. on November 11.
